Day 1 : Arrive Bangkok

Arrive this morning in Bangkok, the vibrant and throbbing capital city of Thailand. You are welcomed and escorted to your hotel. Built on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, this “City of Angels” has a fascinating appeal that is difficult to resist. The day is at leisure to relax and recover from the long flight. Day 2 : City, Temples & Palace

This tour includes three of the most unusual Buddhist temples in Bangkok: Wat Trimitr with its invaluable Golden Buddha (5 ½ tons of solid gold) – Wat Po, the most extensive temple in Bangkok, with its colossal Reclining Buddha and the Chedis of the Kings. The Grand Palace is one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Siamese court. It used to be the residence of the Kings of Thailand. Here you will see palaces which were used for different occasions: the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple. Day 3 : Bangkok

The day is free to relax and pursue independent activities. (B)

Day 4 : Depart Bangkok

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)

Exploring the bustling Chinatown a popular tourist attraction and a food haven. Upon this 1-km strip packed with market stalls, street-side restaurants and a dense concentration of gold shops. Continue the journey to PakklongTalaad, the biggest wholesale and retail fresh flower market in Bangkok. Drive to Wat Suthat and The Giant Swing. From here, we continue on foot passing Bangkok Metropolitan Office to a Bangkok's historic road, Rachadamnoen Avenue. Dinner at Hotel D' Moc's restaurant, then travelling by tram around Ratanakosin area with the fantastic views of “The Must-See” attractions in Bangkok, Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, The Golden Mount, Wat Ratchanaddaram, The Democracy Monument, The City Pillar Shrine, The Grand Palace, Wat Pho and National Theatre. End up the night by exploring the Khao San Road for its famously described as "the centre of the backpacking universe".

DAMNOEN SADUAK FLOATING MARKET

The real floating market is the one at Damnoen Saduak, around 110 kilometers west of Bangkok. A trip to this Thai phenomenon is like traveling back to the ancient times of the Siam Kingdom, where colorful clad merchants paddle along the narrow canals. The Floating Market is an ideal place for tourists to see the old style and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables and other from small boats. Tourists will also be able to see traditional Thai houses and the way locals use boats in their everyday lives. During your visit, there will be lots of activity and bargaining is part of the fun of the sale. The market’s popularity among visitors has grown over the years and outside the traditional means of selling and trading food and drinks, souvenir shops around the market are home to some of the best local handicraft one can buy. The tour includes a visit to the rural Maeklong Railway Market or Talad Rom Hoop (closing umbrella market).

AYUTHAYA

Among the "must see" attractions in Thailand is a visit to Ayuthaya, the former capital of Thailand situated 90 kms north of Bangkok. The principal sights are the gigantic bronze statues of Wat Mongkol Borpith, Wat Phra Srisanpetch and Wat Yai Chai Mongkol. This tour also includes a boat trip to Bang-Pa-In, the former Royal Summer Residence, which represents a fine example of Thai architecture. Lunch will also be served during this tour.
