Day 1 – Friday - Arrival Hanoi

On arrival at Hanoi airport you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 – Saturday - Hanoi half day sightseeing

Morning, take a half-day city tour to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (totally closed from September to November for annual maintenance), HCM wooden stilt house, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and walking tour of the Old Quarter. Afternoon: free at leisure.

Day 3 – Sunday - Hanoi – Halong

Morning road to Halong (shuttle bus with driver only). Embark the boat for a cruise around Halong Bay. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.

Day 4 –Monday - Halong Bay – Hanoi – Night train to Hue

Morning continue boat cruise around Halong Bay with brunch on board. Afternoon, drive back to Hanoi (shuttle bus with driver only). Arrive Evening, transfer to Hanoi railway station for overnight train to HUE.

Day 5 –Tuesday - Hue arrival – half day sightseeing.

Arrive in Hue, meet at railway station & transfer to hotel. Lunch with Hue specialties at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit the Hue Citadel and Royal Antique Museum

Day 6 – Wednesday - Hue – Hoi An

Morning, take a boat trip on Huong river to Thien Mu pagoda then drive to Hoi An Ancient town. Afternoon, take a walking tour to explore this World Heritage Site. Highlights include an ancient merchant house, the PhucKien Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the vibrant riverside market

Day 7 – Thursday - Hoi An – Da Nang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC).

Transfer to airport for a flight to HCMC. Meet and transfer to hotelupon arrival.

Day 8 – Wednesday - Ho Chi Minh City half day sightseeing.

In the morning, visit the Reunification Palace (photo stop), the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Chinatown, local market and either the ThienHau Temple or the Quan Am Pagoda. Afternoon is free. (Optional tours are available at additional charge).

Day 9 -Thursday - Ho Chi Minh city Departure.

You will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

1. Hanoi

Water Puppet & Cyclo Tour (2 hrs):

Enjoy a cyclo ride (1 hour) through old quarter to explore the city. Continue to Water puppet theatre to see the performance. The traditional water puppet shows are staged with original and interesting programs. It is a folk art particular to the people cultivating wet rice fields in North Vietnam. The artists hidden behind a curtain while immersed in water manipulate the puppets through an apparatus put under in the water surface, which serves as the stage. (no meal)

Half day craft Villages (Hanoi - Bat Trang - Dong Ho – Hanoi)

In the morning, drive to Bat Trang Village, which is renowned for its ceramics. On arrival, take a stroll through narrow lanes of the ancient village to discover and witness the art of pottery and ceramics coming to life. Under the guidance of skilled artisans, you will learn how to shape ceramic products before continuing your trip to Dong Ho Village to see the final products and practicing Dong Ho block printing. Return to Hanoi.

Half day Touring Hanoi by old Vespa

Cruise on the Vespa through streets of Hanoi like a local. Your Vespa driver will take you through different streets of Hanoi while you can take in scenes of daily life as well as the old architecture. During your ride you will have chances to interact with local artisan who famous for stamp wood carving, view the Huu Tiep lake where now keeping the tail of US B52 air force. You also can walk along some colonial streets and West lake before enjoying the fresh and open air on Long Bien bridge with some drink. Ride back to your hotel.

Half day Hanoi Street Artists

Start your half day trip with a transfer to the Hoan Kiem Lake area where you will walk and meet the artists who carve pens, rulers and stamps. Have your names engraved and take the items home as small souvenirs. Also, make a stop by a studio in the old quarter of Hanoi for your portrait drawn by a talented artist. Enjoy surprises at the local café where you can enjoy drinks as well as try to figure out a street magician’s tricks. Be transferred back to your hotel by taxi.

Half day Hanoi Art Tour

Hanoi, one of the cultural centers of Vietnam, is a place where you can find art in almost any corner of the city. Begin your journey by visiting the Vietnam Fine Art Museum, where you will gain an overview of the county’s art. Enrich your knowledge of Vietnamese Art with a visit to an Art Cafe where you can enjoy the original masterpieces of the Hanoi Artist Bui Thanh Phuong - son of the renowned Ha Noi artist Bui Xuan Phai (1920-1988) - while tasting the special flavor of Vietnamese coffee. Then, walk to Bui Thanh Phuong’s private studio for a conversation about his family art works before being transferred back to your hotel.

Half day My Son:

Car and guide pick up at hotel spend a half day traveling to the extraordinary ruins of My Son in a remote jungle valley. My Son was formerly the centre of the Cham Kingdom and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, over 20 well- preserved monuments remain and return to hotel. (No Meal)

Half day Tra Que Villages:

Drive to Tra Que Village and continue to Tra Que Herb Village with stops along the way to visit old Japanese tombs. On arrival, watch the local water and tend to their gardens and also sample local delicacies such as Tam Huu spring rolls. Relax with a foot soak in an herbal solution before driving back to Hoi An.(No meal)

Half day Hoi An Countryside by Bicycle:

Enjoy a boat cruise in the morning to Kim Bong Village where we will visit a shipbuilding yard and cycle through the village with stops at old colonial houses, temples and local cottage factories. (Cycling distance: 8km)

You will be picked up and transferred to the local fishing village near the mouth of Thu Bon River. Walk through the fishing village and learn about the daily life of Vietnamese fishermen, their families and their community. Board the Hoi An Eco-Tour boat and cruise on the Cua Dai River. Witness fishing activities as well as experience the art of catching fish by using local round nets. Experience more fun by paddling a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats and join in a basket boat race on the river. Continue to explore the Bay Mau tranquil waterways and also learn how water coconuts are used by the locals. Row your basket boats back to the Hoi An Eco-Tour boat. You will be met at your hotel and depart on bicycles or in a van, depending on the distance to the farm and your personal preference. Enjoy the fresh air of the countryside as we make our way to our destination. After arriving at the farm, meet the farmers and enjoy tea near the paddy field. Don traditional Vietnamese farmer clothing to prepare for getting into the field. Your tour guide will explain the details of wet rice cultivation and answer any questions that you might have. Watch as the farmer demonstrates ploughing the paddy traditionally with a water buffalo. The farmer will guide you in how to transplant rice seedlings which will eventually mature and be harvested. If you wish, go for a short ride on a water buffalo and experience these gentle animals up close. Finally, enjoy a meal with the farmer's family before returning to your hotel. [Lunch]

Cu Chi Tunnels Tour:

Car & guide pick up at hotel then drive to visit Cu Chi town where Vietnamese guerrillas built a labyrinth of narrow tunnels as hideouts during the war. Return to Saigon.(no meal)

You will be picked up from your hotel and start your Vespa night trip by mingling in the crowd of locals going home after work. Take in the scene of complex traffic while riding through different districts of old Saigon. Stop by some street food restaurants to try Vietnamese seafood and crepes, as well as discover the diversity between the local Cafés with Vietnamese music and popular bars with the oldies, jazz or rock. Saigon’s alleys and the secret weapon storage (2.5hrs):

Saigon’s alleys tour will give you an in-depth views of Saigon people’s life. Walking through small back alleys brings you close to the local residential areas, the real local market with its daily vibrant activities: the foods, the smells, the sights, the tropical fruit and much more. The alleys, the houses with stalls selling different types of food will amaze you with the local way of doing business. The excursion also leads you to the commando’s secret weapons storage once located in the middle of Saigon centre. The secret weapon storage where the Saigon commandos of Team 5 gathered to collect weapons for the Tet Offensive on 30 January 1968 was recognized a national historical site in 1988 (No Meal)
